As I commented on Herons blog, Nike did an ill job of promoting their sportswear block party this past weekend(?) by…not really doing shit. They invited your favorite blogger, and that bloggers favorite blogger, let me post pics, and it has spread to every city not in NY as the “party you weren’t at, but the cool guys were”. EXCELLENT job Nike.
You already know that A Trak gets it in…tour after tour after tour…you have to admire his love and desire for music and DJing. Dudes grind is almost unmatched.
The re-designed Colette store looks ill….but almost like a Bape store. Granted this is a view I have only seen from pictures, but the shiny metal and what not is to Bape-esque for me. I’m sure their sales will grow so their not trippin off my opinion.

1. People M.I.A.s “Paper Planes” is old. Hella old. Please stop fronting like its some new shit because Pineapple Express put you on.
2. Be kind enough to answer/reply to emails. I’m a good DJ. Becoming great. If I email you mr/mrs promoter/bar owner/club person its because I can make your party dope.
3. I’m not @ Magic and it kind of sucks cuz I really wanted to DJ it this summer.
I can’t even express how grateful I am to have made it this far. For real people, its a blessing to be able to make it this far and be healthy, and still pushing. I know alot of people who take what they have for granted, but not the kid. No sir.
This past year has honestly been full of amazing highs and sincerely terrible lows. I’ve loved and lost people whom I NEVER thought wouldn’t be by my side. I’ve been held to standards that I couldn’t meet and had to suffer because of that. At the same time I’ve been under appreciated, undervalued, and underpaid.
At the same time though, FUCK that. The grind is a continuous thing. My peers right now are the movers and shakers of your world. Dudes such as catchdubs, Mr. Kim, Heron and countless others are shaping how u dress, what you listen to, and how you view your own culture.
Things HAVE been good over here though. I’m DJing and getting better consistently (look out for the Bottle Service Please before the end of August), working out 4-6 days a week, and have tunnel vision in terms of getting this better than yours/B.O.W.D. thing where it needs to be, after 5 years might I add. GOTTA reconnect with Vad and get y’all some new music. Thats priority #1. Keep losing weight, because presentation is everything.
And on some real shit - just do the damn thang. Less talk more action, emails, trips to NY.
Get my black ass to LA. Miami for WMC. A passport for Spain - and master the spanish language before I go there. U know? Live life with these quality and consistent improvements that will have me and my peoples where we need to be.
I always told myself that 28-32 is the PRIME of my life. You’ll never look better, be worth more, or be have the NEED to be focused like you will at this time. This is OUR time.
The 888: PB Wolf vs. LA tour just wrapped and from the photos it seems as if PB Wolf and Stones Throw have really hit the jackpot with this series. I think this is second year it has happened, and makes me wish someone in D.C. was as revered and respected to make something like this happen.
