pharrell's album is disappointing. I only listened to it once, but "raspy shit" was the only song i remember liking in the least bit.

the roots album was also disappointing. black thought sounded like he put in a lot of work on his rhymes, but the beats were weak and some of those choruses hurt my ears. however, the song with peedi is HOTTTT. probably my favorite rap song in a while.

your mixes- i skimmed through the first one. if u want to get a head start on djing, u should forget about scratching for now. work on beatmatching and learning beats and bars. once u nail that down, everything else is just icing so to speak. but really, put in the time and learn that to perfection first.

Those two mixes you did were hot! Sweeeeet!

I haven't felt a Roots album in a long time, and not feeling this one either but big up tp questlove for being one talented mofo and making the JayZ reasonable doubt concert worth the price of the ticket! and for producing alot of fiyah outside of the Roots (D'Angelos Voodoo was a masterpiece IMO too bad he cant do the same for Black Thought)

Just stumbled on ur site for the first time I'm gonna peep it again, post some more of u mixes please ;)

the roots album is slammin...i came in with low expectations (after the tipping point and all), but they produced a solid banger this time. Album of the year???

pharrell album is eh...i'm a fan of NERD and the Neptunes, but it seems like he just used some reused beats for his own stuff. I hear chad is the brains behind the operation, but you didn't hear that from me

And Boot Camp....i got to pick that up. Heard it was fire..

I'll try to find another Clipse link if you still need it tonight...

I was born and raised in AZ. I'm not mad DMX is out there. The real estate is crazy and the opportunities for a good life are better. As far as DMX, hey its all entertainment from the prayers to the scriptures to being called Ja Rule by Becky and Sally.

Pharrells new sound is a result of him working w/o Chad. P needs Chad the way Jordan needed Pippen.

Pharrell's album: Beats: adventurous, fresh. Singing/Voice: weak as usual, rhymes are forgettable. You would think for a producer who knows his own weaknesses (voice, rhyme capabilities), he try his best to tailor music to his strengths. It's hard enough to listen to the shallow lyrics, but to hear the ineptitudes in his voice is annoying after a while. I like Pharrell and all and usually support his work but I am definitely not buying this one. Good thing I heard it first. I think his quality is less than okay this time around.

well since you asked...

pharrells album: ive really was expecting some crazy shit but this album should have never been released. no wonder it took so long to release, pharrells homies were probably like "ah pherrel this shit is fuckin horrible". all its done for me is made me loose hope in pharrell and his wack new sound. back before as my friends and i call it his "Airy Fairy" production i used to think he was a genius. And no doubt he still is, but the production on that cd is far from impressive and the songs themselves..... im speechless, hes obviously tryin to impress the 14 & 15 year old girls of this world.
I guess im just a fan of that old ground breaking neptunes sound; grindin, clones, southern hospitality, superthug, got your money etc. back when i used to hear a beat from him and go "damn this one wild beat!". mr. me too sounds good, a big repetitive but good, gives me hope for the new clipse cd and seeing what the tunes can do on that. but yea from a hiphophead such as myselfs point of view this cd is trash.

the roots - game theory: DOPE!

boot camp click - DOPE! DOPE! DOPE!
