Philadelphia is Americas next great city? I mean I know Sigel just got out and beat another charge recently, but damn. I hope this doesn’t mean that gentrification is on its way like in all other major cities. I like Philly though. It seems like it has its own night life away from New York, even though its been in the Rotten Apples shadow for so long. The city doesn’t need to be overrun by NY imports who got sick of Williamsburg.
It was only a matter of time, especially in a place like Arizona, that the suburbs become havens for drug activity. Y’all gotta understand those kids in the burbs got money and they go hard. I grew up in the burbiest of areas and on friday and saturday nights the “people overs” aka white kid house parties were like trap houses. Coke was the drug of choice, with weed, ecstacy, and anything else they could get their hands on playing second.

Rome, seriously I asked you this before with no response back but what’s up with posting entire albums on your site like this Redman album? How do you justify such flagrant theft? I mean it’s one thing to link a couple tracks to help spread the word or shine the spotlight on music you dig but to give away an entire artist’s work that you have no rights or ownership interest in. That ish just doesn’t seem cool or seem right. What’s up?!
Ian in no way, shape or form am I justifying giving away and/or stealing any artists work. I see it as having access to music that people may not have heard before or in a while. I know that if I first listened to Redman today I wouldn’t feel the way I did about dude when Dare Iz A Darkside dropped.
I didn’t mean to not answer you the last time you posed the question, I may not have seen it.
I honestly saw it as putting people on to older albums or new work, not stealing money from LA Reids wallet.

The problem is not the posting of the albums, it’s the people not buying the music! There are several music sites that have their own artist’s albums available for the listening pleasure of fans. Just because I can’t copy the album onto a CD, does that make it fair to the artist?
This whole dilema is not about the music itself, it’s about the money! All the industry cares about are record sales!! The end result is, I am only going to buy what I like, and the albums I don’t like won’t get purchased! It doesn’t matter whether I download it or not!
The consumer is at the bottom of pile on this issue, so stop bickering about a problem that “we” can’t fix!!
My final thought is…. This is your web site! U do what you want on your web site! If this person doesn’t like what you do, they don’t have to come to your site! U have plenty of folks that appreciate what you are doing, so don’t let one person change your course!
