There is no such thing as a lock in sports anymore. Not like there ever was, but still.. Look at your favorite team sports in the past 5 years and you will see unexpected champions all across the board.. so without further ado, congrats to the Detroit Pistons.. still can’t believe they won in the fashion that they did.. yet and still I haven’t seen this much coverage about a runner-up since Bush won the presidency.. and yes they are still talking about the presidential runner-up 24/7 all day e’er day, but we haven’t heard a thing about Al Gore in a while.. wink wink..

Wall to wall coverage about the future of the Lakers.. Kobe’s plans.. Phil Jackson’s plans.. Karl Malone’s plans.. Derek Fisher’s plans.. wait.. Derek Fisher’s plans??????? one of the most fortunate players to enter the league since the likes of Stacey King and Luc Longley.. but this guy really thinks he’s a star and belongs on the court during money time.. I still don’t see how you can make a 17 foot jump shot in .4 seconds.. I can’t type .4 seconds in .4 seconds.. this guy has a legacy now?? some people lead a dream life.. you yourself should try one sometime..

I’ve been watching a lot of baseball lately.. It is my routine summer entertainment fling until EA Sports drops the Melyssa Ford and Angelina Jolie of video gaming entertainment.. (Deez, you’re toast in like a month).. I’m referring to EA Sports’ two flagship football games.. hurts to even call them “games”, but for those that don’t understand the mechanics and pure genius of these ‘games’, I can’t alienate yall squares (well, anymore than I just did)

The Source called Scarface’s first Def Jam effort, The Fix, a hiphop classic.. still haven’t heard in its entirety.. Let’s see what “the black Babe Ruth” does.. if he does half of Usher’s numbers thus far, it will be twice what he can expect from the fickle fans, and also twice what he did last time around with his solo debut, Kiss the Game Goodbye.. you do the math..
