Opening night in the NBA was alright. My Suns lost a nail biter they should’ve won to a scrappy Spurs team. The Mavericks - Lakers game was great if you’re a fan of offense. I actually like Dallas’ all star lineup. I think it can run other teams to death and they did an ok job on Shaq. And now that the season is underway can we please stop talking about the Kobe/Shaq situation? I’m sayin though.
Damn Joe Johnson and Glenn Robinson sold me on VGM last night, but my squad should be real tough for tonight if some of my non stars come through. A good start is vital to becoming champ in VGM. Consistenly being in the 100s is a good thing. My fantasy hoops group is hella competitive. I mean cats talk sh*t like we were really on the court. I’m sayin fellas it isn’t that serious. Are you anticipating any albums prior to, or for that case even after The Black Album? I mean aside from K.West I think those cds might hold me down for the end of ‘03, beginning of ‘04. I think this is a sign that its time for artists/labels/etc. to stop bs’ing and get another Black Star album as well as something new from DJ Quik.
Being that it was brick (east coast speak for cold) yesterday I was pleasntly surprised by all the fashionable cold people I saw. I kept it light in jeans, a canvas jacket, and my Pantheons (retro nike, maybe) but the ladies of D.C. were about it. See I like jawns that can style, regardless if its prada, gucci or wal-mart. And they were out in trench coats, jeans, and heels. Something about jeans and heels does it for me.
Floetry are supposed to be at Dream on Friday and LL Cool J is supposed to be at VIP on Saturday night. Now both concerts will bring in different crowds, but the Floetry jawn might be the winner. Why u ask? Because they have a few uptempo cuts, but their slow jams are money. Also because I don’t want to watch a grown ass man lick his lips (no homo) at a concert 10 million times (especially if i haven’t bought any of his albums since like 95)….
