If you can pick up a copy of Treasures of Egypt by National Geographic do yourself a favor. It has a grip of nice stories and pictures about Egypt. It interests me so much, because I’ve always been a fan of early Egyptian culture, particularly that of the kings and other powerful figures.

Saturday night was like that. After hella people bowed out or didn’t call me back I decided to ride out to downtown Norfolk with the homegirl Courtney from the ATL. Man we hit this spot called Havana and got it crackn. It was her and I at a table and we just sat back and watched all the white people act crazy and drunk. After being there for 45 minutes we headed to Time Lounge which was a 2 minute walk down the street and got it crackn to some Britney and Justin. After being there for 45 minutes some of the homies from work showed up and we proceeded to get out conversation on outside on the patio becuase it was a beautiful night. With the club closing Courtney and I ran into this Deli that was open midnight to 4am. That was crazy cuz we were both hungry as hell and she paid!!! Big ups to Courtney shes a rider.

First and foremost Michael Jordan is that dude twice FOR REAL. I don’t think anyone has had a bigger impact on popular culture and African American culture in the last 20 years as much as MJ. I remember when we used to watch all his games on WGN. I used to especially like to watch the Bulls play on the road because it seemed Michael & Co. had something to prove. The feeling you get when beating another team on their home floor is something that I think always fueled Mike to succeed.

On a personal note MJ was that dude to me because as a youth when pops wasn’t on his job Mike was. Mike was always spittin something positive and carrying himself the way a true professional and a man would. I know I modeled myself and continue to do so after MJ. I mean when we were young in AZ cats used to walk like MJ, run like MJ, and damn near do everything else dude did. Have you seen the suits Michael wears? Damn those things are tough.
